italy

i went to bed feeling like a
flock of geese the size of brooklyn
taking off in the morning
when the first sun ray bursts over
the mountain and the bear
wakes up and shakes a tree
for honey and the swarm of
bees the size of eternity panic
out and find some
place new in another forest
with no bear in sight
and the solitary fish in the deep
deep sea
moves a fin and the
sea creature that no one has
ever dreamt of (because it is
that deep) catches it and is
full, and with mystery it slinks
behind a dark
dark rock wall
and just then a volcano
erupts right there in the deep
dark sea; that moment
when the first ray of sun
flashes over the mountain peak,
like when a war has ended
and all of a sudden there is
silence, and a clear sky, with
the horizon like a woman
that is how i felt when
you touched me
last night
